Welcome to Hollows Farm Campsite

A quaint 17th century working hill farm tucked away in the heart of the Lake District. We offer self catering accommodation and summertime camping, surrounded by the National Nature Reserve’s ancient atlantic woodland, nestled within the Borrowdale Valley.

Opening Dates

We open from the 27th March - 1st November 2026.

Booking Arrangements

We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking, with balance payable on arrival.

Camping

Open Field - drive on pitches accepting tents, small campervans (up to 6 metres in length), roof tents and small trailer tents.

Woodland Field - tent only field, car park next to field and you will walk on to pitch your tent. No vehicles on this field.

We are a quiet, family friendly campsite. We do not accept large groups or parties. Quiet time is 10.30pm - 7am.

Our camping fields have fantastic views of Castle Crag, and are situated by the side of the river Derwent, a scenic wild swim spot.

Our campsite is ‘back to basics’ and has a toilet block (on the walk in woodland field), shower block (400m walk from camping fields), and large outdoor sinks for washing utensils etc. You will need your head torch to walk to the facilities when it’s dark. Drinking water tap available on the Open Field.

There is no Wi-Fi and limited phone signal onsite, a great chance to reconnect with nature and switch off from day-to-day life!
